Quick answers

Things people call to ask

How do I get a library card?

Free to anyone who lives, works, owns property or attends school in Chester County. Apply online through CCLS, or walk in with photo ID and something showing your address and you’ll leave with a card.

Can I use the computers without a card?

Yes. Ask at the circulation desk for a guest pass. There are three public computers, all connected to the self-serve printer.

How do I book the meeting room?

Call 610-948-4130. Community and non-profit use is free, tutors pay $10 per hour and for-profit organisations $25 per hour, subject to availability.

Can I pick up a hold when you’re closed?

Yes — the book locker outside is available 24/7, and we also offer curbside pickup during open hours. Place the hold in the catalogue and choose Spring City.

Do you take book donations?

Gently used books in good condition, yes. Please call before bringing a large quantity so we can tell you what we can accept.

Not a cardholder yet?

If you live, work, own property or go to school in Chester County, your card is free — and it opens every single thing on this page.
